Assembly & Maintenance Technician

Job Description We are seeking an energetic person with mechanical aptitude to grow with our company to advance our new product through assembly and testing processes. Qualified candidates will be able to read schematics, blueprints, and work instructions to perform hands on assembly, building, disassembly of a precision mechanism with small hand tools. Employee works collaboratively with team members to develop efficient methods of assembly, record data, identify roadblocks with components or techniques. Candidates in this role will have the opportunity to develop advanced skills and be part of a start up organization in the field of energy efficiency.

Responsibilities · Build and test production and prototype machines · Record precision measurement data during the assembly of the machine · Disassemble the product and analyze operational running issues · Assist in the correction of any quality issue with any part or component · Utilize and develop efficient assembly techniques · Conduct in process tests, functional checks to validate the correct assembly · Work as part of a team to bring product designs to mass production · Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical issues on machines or equipment · Interact with team members to develop product and specific solutions · On time delivery of quality product and component builds

Requirements · Small maintenance/appliance repair or 2-3 years equivalent experience · Hands-on ability to assemble and disassemble equipment · Basic mechanical skills, hand tool knowledge, torque, alignment, etc. · Proficiency with drawings and blueprints; technical document reading · Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

· Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills in maintaining tools & equipment.

Preferences ·Associates Applied Technology/Skilled Trades

·Previous experience with HVAC systems or small appliance repair. · High mechanical aptitude and knowledge of small engines. · Understanding of electronics and basic wiring.
