Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Operate, clean and service various presses.
2. Perform and record preventive maintenance activities on various presses.
3. Conduct equipment changeovers to accommodate production demands.
4. Conduct quality inspections on processes, raw materials, and finished products.
5. Troubleshoot basic equipment problems and make basic repairs.
6. Stage raw materials at work stations using a forklift / hi-lo.
7. Record production output, quality results, and reasons for equipment downtime in PLEX computer system.
8. Perform basic mathematical calculations for set-ups, etc.
9. Adhere to good housekeeping standards at work stations.
10. Work with production teammates and other employees to generate efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions: Perform all functions on production equipment; perform preventive maintenance as needed; perform equipment changeovers; perform extensive quality inspections; set up staging daily; record all production output, or lack of output.
Education Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience Requirements: 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
Skill Requirements: Strong attention to detail. Strong cognitive skills for troubleshooting problems and solutions. Must be able to make decisions quickly and have strong listening skills. Will work both autonomously & as a team player.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand 100% of the time. Job involves twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing, pulling, and pushing. Must be able to lift up to 15# repeatedly throughout the day.
